There are java certification groups at
Java Ranch - > Enter through saloon
yahoo groups - > It is called javacertstudy
Both of these have ample material and references for the exam, and in any case a simple search on goole will throw up tons of links.

I apologize for the off topic question but since all the people in this
group are well conversant with Java I thought I may get a good answer. I am
looking for a book to prepare for the java programmer's certification exam
to be followed by the developer exam. Can anyone suggest me some good book ?
