Ying: Here's what happened with us: one person retrieved a connection from the connection pool, set autosommit to false, did his work and then released the connection *without* setting the auto-commit back to false. I subsequently got a connection from the pool, did *not* set auto-commit to false, (and therefore assumed that it was in default setting, namely true) and exactly what you described happened.. The reason I am repeating this is that *your* code may not be messing with auto-commit at all; and you may still be experiencing problems..
But assuming you double checked this, (by doing a System.out.println of the auto-commit property just before you use the connection to execute the query) can you run your query directly against the database? If you try directly executing the query, some database expert near yo may help explain what's happening.. Also can you run *any* query at all via your servlet?
