apache is diff rent and tomcat is diffrent ...
the sever which runs on 8080 is tomcat itself
you need to use mod_jk to integrate both

I guess u dwld tomcat 4.0 and run startup.bat or startup.sh...
set java_home & catalina_home in your environment variables.....
Apache will start as a standalone application integrated with tomcat on port
8080...
u then change the port settings of HTTPCONNECTOR from 8080 to 80
in server.xml and u r done....
People on the forum, correct me if i am wrong here......

Subject: Integration of Tomcat 4.0 with Apache web server
Hi All,
Does any body know how to integrate Tomcat 4.0 with apache web server 1.3 ?
I heard that tomcat 3.3.x versions can be integrated with apache using
mod_jk, but Tomcat 4.0 can not be. Is that true ?
Any suggestion is welcome.
Thanks and Regards,
Sudarson
