Can we run the rsh and rexec on windows.....I guess not -----Original Message----- From: Lindsay, William (USPC.PCT.Hopewell) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, May 30, 2002 5:51 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Telnet from windows
You can use rsh (Remote Shell) or rexec (Remote Exec) from the command line. Use the java.lang.Runtime.exec() method to invoke either. This will require permissions on the Unix Side. -----Original Message----- From: Abhinav Jain [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, May 30, 2002 6:49 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Telnet from windows Hi guys I need to trigger a Unix script on a remote Unix machine from a Windows 2000 Machine. This win machine has a JSP App that is running on Tomcat server. Has any one done this kind of implementation. Note:- The platforms are very stringent Has any one used the TelnetWrapper class?Where is it available. I think this can do the job of logging on to the remote machine from a win machine. thanks abhinav ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff SERVLET-INTEREST".
