Is there a website or book or something that tells
people to go get "jsdk.jar"? The question crops up
again and again, and I can't figure out why. If you're
just getting started, there are some tutorials linked
off Sun's servlet homepage, and there's a servlet
developer's tutorial in the Tomcat 4 download (see
below). But anyway...

Don't use jsdk.jar. Instead, download any of the
freely availabile servlet containers like Tomcat
(get version 4) or Jetty. You can get Tomcat from
the spec/software download page at Sun's servlet
site:

   http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/download.html

or directly from the Apache Jakarta project at:

   http://jakarta.apache.org

Or go buy something like Orion. All servlet containers
will come with all the libraries you need to compile
and run your servlets.

If there's some reason that you really, really need
jsdk.jar and nothing else will do, go to the Sun
download page listed above, scroll all the way to the
bottom, and click on the bit that says "For earlier
specificiations like the JSDK click here" (or someting
like that).
