Hi,

Just letting you know that I have received your e-mail and I am working hard to reply
to it as soon as possible. Please do not be surprised or upset if you do not receive a
response at all, let alone within a few weeks.

It has gotten to the point, where I am so busy during the day, I don't have 5 minutes
to check my e-mail. Unfortunately, this reflects poorly on me, and many of you may be
thinking that I don't care. Understand that I do, and that there was a point where I
responded to each and every e-mail I received in great detail. Those days are long
gone, and I have new priorities. My education comes first. My site is a meant to help
people, but it's just a hobby in the grand picture of things.

I have tried my best to add features to the site that will help you when I am unable
to. Since this e-mail is an auto-response, I cannot pin-point the the nature of your
inquiry, but I have received many inquiries over the years, and I've listed a response
below to the most common of them. I hope they help you.

1. If you are writing to complement me and/or my page, thank-you. When I first started
out, it's people like you that kept me going. You gave me the confidence that I was
making a difference in the online graphics community. Without your support, I doubt
the page would still be up. Thanks, your support is very much appreciated. :)

2. If you are writing to get help with a tutorial from the site, please try the
discussion board. I implemented the board in order to give others the chance to help
you, give myself a break, and create a nice community to communicate with. It's your
best bet for graphics help as far as my site goes. You can find the discussion board
here: http://gfxforum.thinkdan.com.

3. If you are writing to ask for some sort of affiliation with thinkdan.com, you
obviously did not read the F.A.Q page before writing. I alone choose whether I want to
create an affiliation with someone, and it's based on more than traffic and
popularity. If I want to setup a link exchange or affiliation with you, I will come to
you, its as simple as that.

4. If you are writing to get recommendations on books to buy in order to learn about
graphics, try the Recommended Reading pages of the site:
http://www.thinkdan.com/bookstore/index.html

5. If you are writing to obtain permission to display or link to my tutorials,
wallpapers, or other works from your site, the answer is NO. If you choose to do so
anyway, and I find out about it, I will press charges. You may link to my site
directly at thinkdan.com, but the sub-section must remain accessible from the main
page of my site only.

6. If you are writing in for some other reason, try the F.A.Q
(http://www.thinkdan.com/faq.html) or About (http://www.thinkdan.com/about.html) pages
of the site. If you can't find your answer there, post it on the discussion board:
http://gfxforum.thinkdan.com.

Thanks for taking the time to read all that. I hope you found the help you needed from
one of the suggestions above. If not, you'll just have to hope I find the time to
respond to your personal inquiry.

Sincerely,

Dan Caylor
