hi folks... java doc from sun has fol explanation of ClassFormatError - Thrown when the Java Virtual Machine attempts to read a class file and determines that the file is malformed or otherwise cannot be interpreted as a class file. so jvm is able to find y'r class file but i guess some version problem is there. this is what i obtained from sun java docs guide - This problem is caused by bytecode generated from old JDK 1.0.2 or 1.1 compilers, which generate bytecode that does not conform to the Java VM Specification.
