Replacing events a DLL with events

Dear all,

        I need to replace an existing DLL for COM port communication and I need to 
write 
my own DLL. The DLL will be called from an exe program.

The original DLL has four DLL which react on different states of the COM port, while 
the
javax,comm.* package only has the SerialPortEvent. Following are declarations of the 
needed events:

HRESULT onPortConnected();
HRESULT onPortDisconnected();
