Subject: tomcat init

Hi everyone,

we ar running tomcat 4.0 and our application is
working fine, but recently we introduced logging
facility using Log4j.

i need to execute the init() (static method) of Log4j
class once when the tomcat is started ? i looked at
the archive but could not find any solution , i could
read about web.xml using the tag <load-on-start> but
the problem is Log4j class is not a servlet.

any help would be much appreciated.

regards
Raju
