Don't really want to get into which is "better/best", but Marty Hall's
books are good:

Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages
More Servlets and JavaServer Pages

You might want to check out Hall's Java web pages themselves, he
includes book recommendations on a number of Java subtopics (he
recommends his own books, but points out his potential bias :-):
