This site seems very readable and up to date... again for
command-line seti, which seems to be the answer. Running the graphical interface
minimised does not seem to use much more power than command line, but I can't
find a cache programme for it, and there seems to be a wide variety of
monitoring programmes out there, as well as improved result pages from seti
berkeley as well.
Happy hunting guys (going to try to find a wav file that will
alert me if I find something interesting...) All suggestions gratefully
