I did not know you could change priority on the screensaver version, only on
the cli. I would suggest low priority. What happens is at normal or high
priorities, Seti is in competition with everyting else on your system for
your cpu runtime, hence everything will/can seem sluggish or even seem to
freeze for long periods. At low priority it gives way to everything else and
just uses used cycles so hopefully you won't know you are running Seti.
Changing to the cli will speed things even more for you. It has even been
set up to install easily. You can get the package at the following link

it might help you to look at http://pages.tca.net/roelof/setispy/faq.htm#2
13 to get it setup. Seti Spy also gives more info on the WU and what is
going on than the screensaver.
In case you are curious, I use WinME with a P3 1Ghz system ( coppermine )
with 256mb ram and get 7-10 hours per WU, averaging 2.67 WU a day but today
I have done 4 :)

Subject: Seti Priority?
Ok. I've a question ( and since this place has been really quiet lately)
Im running Win 2k pro and 3.07 (graphical) Seti. What priority should I have
Seti set for the fastest times? Lowest Ive ever pulled was 12 hrs and
looking around... alot of the benchmarks say 7-9 hrs.
System Specs
p3 733 ( coppermine)
256 megs pc100 ram
Win 2000 Pro
Screen saver, Off
Blank screen: 0
Data Analysis: Always runs
Thanks
