Hi all,
I have migrated my Plone Intranet from Zope 2.7.8 Plone 2.0.3 to Zope
2.8.4 Plone 2.1.1 (Windows server 2003). Also, I have migrated from
plone exfile 2.0.3 to Plone exFile 3.1.1 and File System Storage.
My path in migration was:
A) On Zope 2.7.8: migration from Plone 2.0.3 to Plone 2.1.1;
B) On Zope 2.7.8 Plone 2.1.1: exFile migration;
C) Copy of data.fs, products etc. from Zope 2.7.8 to Zope 2.8.4;
I have repeated the migration more times on my laptop (Windows XP), and
on my test server (Windows 2003), and I have met some problems.
But what astonished me was that in several migrations (with very little
difference in products used) I had different problems: for example in
the C step I always in tests have met error _length, but not in the
final migration. Another time I had the "AttributeError: NoneType object
has no attribute __of__ ". Another again the login form visualitazion
failed: there was a blank area in my browser! Finally my Zope 2.8.4
production server gave me a "pywintypes23.dll not found", that the test
server never gave me (fix suggested in Plone documentation didn't work,
but Zope starts as process and I hope everything works).
So my question is: Anyone of you experienced this? There are reasons for
this?
