No - your not getting my point - when I click on a link (that is made by plone (by calling portal_url) and that I think I set after I made the site) it points me to the url (as portal_url is set wrong) rather than the new one and all I want to know is how to set the portal_url.

Since you "Replied" instead of "Reply All" you are no longer CC'ing the
mailing list.  Finally you neeed to run a proxy in front of plone such as
apache.  Please check out one of the many Plone books. And read about
virtual hosting.
