Hello All,

This is my first post, so go easy on me. :)

Can someone help me "reset" my skin back to the plone default?

Joe,
Welcome.
As you're a newbie, maybe you didn't discover the "undo" tab yet? ;-) (available in both zope and plone). Very useful in such situations...

Possibly what happened is the unep skin left something around in your Plone site which tries to set the skin to unep, which is now missing as you've uninstalled unep. It sounds like it uninstalled ungracefully, which is unfortunately true of too many 3rd-party plugins.

The moral of this story is, when trying out 3rd-party products, do this on a copy of your site (or take of a copy of the Data.fs from your site first), because although you SHOULD be able to install something and then uninstall if it wrecks your site, this is not always the case.

In the meantime if you want to restore valuable data from your existing site, you might create a second plone site within your zope instance, and from the ZMI (zope interface) copy the vital content from your original plone site to the new one. Then delete the old plone site and rename the new one to the name of the old one. (Backup before doing this wouldn't hurt. ;-) )

Regards,
Nick
