I'm trying to upgrade our Plone installation from 3.0.2 to 3.0.6 (running on Windows Server 2003). After stopping Zope from ZMI I installed the 3.0.6 Windows installer over the 3.0.2 installation. However, such an installation never succeeds, but ends with the following message:
Executing the command 'sitesetup.py' failed KeyError Products.CMFPlone:plone I googled and searchev in Nabble forums and the only thing I found was to check for PYTHONPATH environment variable (although for a different error message). However, even removing this variable did not help - same error. After this, the installation is messed up and Web access to plone site results in a screenful of error messages. Fortunately, I first tried this on a spare server, so no harm done. As a test I also tried to upgrade the original, working site running Plone 3.0.2 to *the same* version - Plone 3.0.2, and installation ended with the same error and a messed-up site. So, what am I doing wrong? What is the proper way to upgrade a Plone site to a newer (minor) update? Thanks, Matjaz. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Plone-3.0.2-upgrade-problems-%28Windows%29-tp15872168s15482p15872168.html Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Setup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/setup
