As far as startup scripts, there are samples in the Unified Installer (UI) tarball. Look in the init_scripts/RedHat-FedoraCore directory. Larry Pitcher
Thanks; I got this much working; I never saw those instructions anywhere; must have missed them; the Unified Installer is great; I looked at it closer and found what I needed to do. Let me ask one question at a time; too many and ones get missed. Do I use mod_wsgi or use mod_python? I understand the reason to use each; seems like wsgi is the way to go; I tried to follow http://plone.org/documentation/tutorial/install-plone-3-behind-apache-and-mod_wsgi-using-repoze but I'm starting from the UI wsgi.load seems to be an Ubuntu thing; I think I can add it to /etc/httpd/conf/http.cofig or /etc/httpd/conf.d/wsig.conf thus LoadModule wsgi_module /usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_wsgi.so I think I need to figure this out before trying to figure out the mod_rewrite issue since each case is a little different. I plan to have multiple sites using the same Zope Instance. On my Development machine I'm using var/www/html as the root document On my Production server I'm going to run multiple sites on one instance, I'm running VirtualMin and started a thread there also http://www.virtualmin.com/forums/general-discussion/anyone-using-plone-%10-zope-with-vm-pro.html#23329http://www.virtualmin.com/forums/general-discussion/anyone-using-plone-%10-zope-with-vm-pro.html#23329 Thanks again Jeff ----- Jeff Flesher http://vetshelpcenter.com/ -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Redhat-Installation-tp2626166p2628470.html Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Setup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/setup
