I've had some useful responses on the list with references to methods involving zope configuration that have worked for others, but after several days and many hours I've had no success.
Further research suggests that python, zope and Ubuntu all have quirks and issues with TZ timezone management - put them all together in Eastern Australia and it seems like it's just not gonna work. Live with US/Eastern as your time zone or forget it! Oddly enough, the calender widget picks up the correct date, at least, but not content. I think it's going to be a deal breaker for me, unfortunately. It is interesting to note that discussion of this issue goes back at least 6 years. Together with the uncertainty of the future of Plone with Zope 3, I'm taking it as an omen - if I can't set the date/time after 3 days of effort, what other troubles are lurking further on? Cheers and good luck! -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Setting-correct-timezone-for-new-Plone-installation-tp2646231p2658436.html Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Setup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/setup
