I found the problem. I had an error in the custom_zodb.py file. It now works on the CD. I still have an odd problem. When Zope starts up in the program on my hard drive, it always ends with this line:
INFO Zope Ready to handle requests: However, on the CD, it always stops at the line previous to this. It never displays the final message, but Plone seems to run okay.
