I am trying to set up a fairly complex Content Management system for my
office, but I have no idea how to get Plone to work. I installed the exe
for Plone 4.0.1 and downloaded some add-ons. I tried opening the Plone
Controller which is the only installed program, and I get an error that says
"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8080" when
I try to view or edit my site. I am VERY new to server management and
content management, but I have experience with coding. I just don't know
what the next step is. Some questions I can think of off the top of my head
are:

1. How do I get to the WYSIWYG that is described in the Manuals?

2. Do I need to have access to the server before I start coding? I wanted
to test the concept before committing our server to anything.

3. How do I install add-ons that are tar files if I have a PC?

This is not a comprehensive list, and if someone would be willing to write a
quick guide "From Installation to Coding" which simply highlighted the steps
to get to the point of being able to view and edit a site I would greatly
appreciate it. Thank you.
