But, Due to the specification (I know, this is video, but still, codec is codec): http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/video.html <source src='audio.oga' type='audio/ogg; codecs=flac'> Flac is somehow supported (at least in specification). Here some user is writing about his chromium working also with flac : http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=13416 Anyway - maybe I will have to give up with Flac or make it tricky - performing encoding to high quality vorbis file... However - I like wikipedia approach - sounds file are represented with <audio tag> - I am looking forward to use this one as well (with all his limitations).
