hmm. that is an interesting comparison. mad season is one of my fave cd's. however, if i am familar with playing both riffs, i don't know anything is all chords on the bottom string alongside harmonics, while rockets are red uses the last 3 strings, if that makes any sense to non-guitarists. but they are a little similar. they're both kinda low and detuned sounding, so it kinda sounds like they start on the same chord. so the short version is, "yeah, i can see what you're saying." - Crock
