I noticed some chatter on the release of Sextante 0.5 for use on gvSIG.
Here is some feedback regarding my ability to get this extension to work.
I am using gvSIG 1.9 (BN 1253) + Sextante 0.3 (experimental) on a
Windows XP Pro SP3 machine.
I downloaded the program from the Sextante Website and ran the installer.
1. I made no attempt to uninstall Sextante 0.3 (exp) -- in fact I had no
idea how to do this. I assumed that the installer would baulk if it was
unable to delete the previous version itself. The outcome of this was
that both file sets were dumped in the Sextante directory resulting in
the neither extension working.
2. I deleted the Sextante main and help subdirectories and reinstalled.
Although the icons for the extension now appeared in the gvSIG toolbar
the program threw an error.
3. Assuming that I somehow buggered up the bindings I uninstalled then
reinstalled gvSIG, then installed the new version of Sextante. The icons
appeared but selecting any of the icons actually threw up an error
again. I have listed the error below for your information.
