Wow... what a strange trip this has been. I used "strings - /usr/lib/libccrtp1.a | grep GCC" and found out that the library thats currently in Karmics repo was compiled with gcc 4.4.0. The gcc thats installed is 4.4.1. I downloaded the karmic source packages and rebuilt them. Now the "undefined reference to non-virtual thunk" error is gone. Can a single minor revision in gcc really do that? Thats probably a naive question isn't it.... :P Anyway, I'm still getting an error, but it looks like a packaging issue.
