Hi Christof,

If Pulseaudio is installed your system, it will take over ALSA configuration, and the ALSA settings in SFLphone will be ignored. In this case, select the USB device as the default device directly in Pulseaudio configuration (using padevchooser, or paman applications).

If Pulseaudio is not installed on your system, change ALSA plugin in SFLphone configuration from default to dmix/dsnoop (default plugin ignores the selected device and will always use the internal sound card).

Hope it helps.

Sincerely.

Emmanuel

Hi,

just apt-got sflphone, but haven't had much luck in getting it working
so far.

Sound Manager is set to ALSA and ALSA plugin to default, but it then
appears to completely ignore the ALSA devices I have chosen (as I want
to use a USB headset for input/output).

Looking through the source code, it appears that it could have
something to do with the following check in
AlsaLayer::buildDeviceTopo:

768    if (pcm == PCM_DEFAULT)
769        return pcm;

Any ideas? (haven't yet tried rebuilding without that check to see if
it has something to do with it)

Christof
