Are you using a stun server? Could you file a bug as described here: https://projects.savoirfairelinux.com/projects/sflphone/wiki/BugReports and please try to include a trace as described at the bottom of the page. If you want to call a SIP URI, you just need to click on the white area above the dialpad and start typing. Is this what you mean? In a future version, we'd like to make it more obvious that the area above the dialpad is in fact meant for text entry.
