Besides, the JACK API is very simple: as a non developer, I've been able
to code little JACK applications really easily, so I guess this would be
a piece of cake tointegrate a new audio backend to SFLPhone.

It's always difficult to ask for something, a feature or anything else,
when one has nothing to offer in exchange, as the only available
resource is... (spare) time.
But that would be a very powerful feature, much anticipated, I guess.
