Not sure. I think somebody had this problem before, and my guess was
that that is your NIS domain with .pot appened. You might have it in a
variable in your environment that msgmerge is picking up (like DOMAIN).
But I don't remember that being confirmed. Try starting nightly with
'env -i' to clear the environment.
