I'm working on getting stunnel (http://stunnel.org/) into the sfw gate. The
version of stunnel I'm working with looks for its configuration in:

/usr/local/etc/stunnel/stunnel.conf

The directory /usr/local does not exist in a default Solaris install.

Although the configuration file does not exist when the package is installed
and its a simple enough process for the administrator to create
/usr/local/etc/stunnel, or locate the configuration file somewhere else, I'd
like the SUNWstunnel package to create this directory when its installed. Doing
this is also straight forward.

Is creating /usr/local/etc/stunnel on pkgadd a reasonable thing to do ?

Are there any other Sun delivered packages that create /usr/local/... ?

If I was going to put the configuration file somewhere else, where would that
somewhere else be ?

Thanks

Mark
