So, there's a CR open that says that the sqlite3.pc file we deliver has only "3.5" in it, rather than "3.5.4" and that this breaks Firefox 3.0's build.
Sure enough, Firefox's configure script wants the major, minor and micro version numbers of SQLite3 in sqlite3.pc, but SQLite3 has *always* shipped sqlite3.pc with just the major and minor numbers. I've confirmed the former by downloading Firefox source and looking at ./configure, and the latter by checking how SQLite3 builds sqlite3.pc and by asking on the sqlite-users at sqlite.org mailing list.
