like a design error. Instead of a single set of includes with ifdefs,
the include files are generated at build time and embed details of the
build decisions of that particular run of the build, such as 32/64bitness.

OTOH, that's how it is. Perhaps others can comment on whether it's
even feasible to consider fixing it, based on dependencies on these files.
