Hi people,
I'm in contact with Apostolos, who does his best to manage SVR4 packages
of latest Wine (http://winehq.org) for S10 and OpenSolaris.

He's asked me if there are plans to add the following dependency
packages to OpenSolaris:

gsm-1.0-pl13
lcms-1..18
mpg123-1.10.0
openal-soft-1.10.622

These packages are currently missing in OpenSolaris (except lcms, which
has older version already in).

Can I kindly ask what can I, as a regular Sun employee, do to support:

1. Adding those dependency packages to OpenSolaris official repo
(contrib or devel)

2. Adding latest Wine to OpenSolaris official repo (contrib or devel).

I'm willing to learn the process and do the packaging and maintenance
(in my spare time), but I'm not a member of any package
maintainer/developer team.

Thanks a lot for showing me the right direction.
Best regards
Hark

P.S. I'm aware there is already Wine 1.0-1 in contrib repo. This is like
decades old, but gives me the hope that there has been at least some ARC
and legal process already done for Wine in OpenSolaris.

   Hello,

I have made a patch for the latest version of wine. The problem
appeared around version
1.1.32 but at that time I did not had time to make a proper patch. Could
you please ask the
wine people to consider adding it? BTW, as I have explained in a
previous message to Vit,
the current SVR4 wine package (it will be available from
http://www.sunfreepacks..com
but right now one can get as
http://ocean1.ee.duth.gr/~apostolo/ASwine-1.1.36.pkg.7z)
includes four other "subpackages": gsm-1.0-pl13, lcms-1..18,
mpg123-1.10.0, and
openal-soft-1.10.622. The question is will these additional "packages"
included in
OpenSolaris? Also, would it be possible to include the package in the
OpenSolaris site
or at least to provide a link so people can get it directly?

Kind regards,

Apostolos
