This may be a dumb question, but did you install java? I used 2k3 R2 to
connect with no issues.

(2003R2) is so locked down by default that it's unusable (in general,
not just with SGD). I've turned off all the security stuff I can think
of, but it still says "activex control blocked" and "use a Java enabled
browser" when I try to connect to our SGD server. I *do* have the
current JRE installed and enabled in the browser...
