Do you run any applications on the SGD server itself? If not, you can disable
NIS on the SGD server.

Hi,
We would like to use AD for authentication but have come across a couple
of issues.
First some background. We're running SSGD 4.4 on Solaris and have all
our users in NIS. We also have all our users in AD. We would like to
utilise AD for authentication and Directory Integration for restricting
access to apps in SSGD.
Our first problem is that we cannot put the AD login authority above
that of UNIX and if a login is authenticated by UNIX the Directory
Integration apps do not appear as the logged in user doesn't get mapped
to an AD user. (Remember, all our users are in NIS *and* AD). Our
initial work around was to disable the UNIX login authority but this
gives us our second problem. It leaves you without Admin access as you
can only add local users to the 'Global Administrator' role, not LDAP/AD.
Have other people come across this issue and found a solution?
Thanks.
