Andreas,

Some of the display modes don't make sense on a Windows Mobile device, e.g. seamless windows, in-browser.
So I think SGD greys out the ones it can't display.
So try playing around with the "Display Using" settings on the application object.

Hi all,

Have a look at the following URL:

(or go to sun.com >> downloads (at the top) then Desktop >> Secure
Global Desktop Software 4.2 clients)

Note, it's worth looking in the release notes of the (few) releases
after 4.2, as I believe that some of the native clients need the
"classic" mode of SSGD, which (may have) been deprecated at some point,
I think.
(ie. you may not be able to use the clients if you ever upgrade from
4.2...)

Thanks a lot for your pointers. I was able to download the client (cab file) with firefox und Solaris (this did not work with Camino on MacOSX for an unknown reason) and bring that to the pocket pc with an USB stick. So Active Sync is not required for installing the SGD client which is good because I don't have a windows PC. :-) A double click installed the SGD client. It works like a charm except that one needs an application that is optimized for super small displays (1/4 VGA). Running a standard fullscreen session on such a small display is no fun (unusable). The SGD client for mobile windows seems to support some kind of screen area switching, but the corresponding icons on the bottom of the screen (SGD controls) are all grayed out. Any idea how these can be activated?

Regards,

  Andreas
