I find it odd that SGD sorta seems to be treated like a step child within Sun. It's a cool piece of software that they don't seem to know what to do with.

I hope it's not in danger of going away. I use it everyday and would seriously consider dumping Open Solaris for Linux if it ever went away.

It would be interesting to know how SGD and SunRay sales are doing these days. I don't really hear much about either product anymore.

Sun partners with specific needs can obtain NFR licenses upon request.
