Mark and Dave both had some additional comments which are worth
reviewing. I certainly need to do so more fully.
We pulled this specific set of patches from the email archives because
it seems to address a usage problem we were having. It appears to
work for our needs. However, I really wish I had more time to invest
in understanding our problem and perhaps improving the patch
integration with other cgroups functionality.
Many thinks to Dave Love for keeping grid engine alive with available
source code. Keeping grid engine alive is a hard task, especially
with the large history and many operating systems it continues to
support. The availability of the source code allows people to
experiment with changes and adapt to any more specific needs.
