It seems that transmission speeds are the numbers to be watched. The 486
likely is limited to ISA NIC at 10 Mbit/sec. The P90 may well have a PCI
slot for a 100 Mbit/sec NIC. I don't know how fast your connection is, but
it probably isn't that fast. I believe an ISDN connection is 128 k, a cable
modem is 256 k and up, so a 10 Mbit card is 40 times faster.
