A
proxy server usually caches webpages for the users and can provide security to
limit what pages can be browsed. I wasn't aware that users needed (or if
there was such a feature) passwords to use STN to surf the net. It's just
a passthrough of sorts, doing Network Address Translation along the way and the
only thing it's capable of caching was DNS lookups.
So I
guess I don't really understand your question.
