Terry, I've replied to your e-mailed message via the mailing list as well. Hope you don't mind. We've sold eight or so STN boxes (don't remember the exact number). I'm a technician at VAR/consulting business, and we typically sell STN for the cost of the software plus one or two hours of our time. That seems to take care of most situations -- STN doesn't take long to set up; most of the time is taken up in configuring the client's network to take advantage of the new STN box. It usually works out to about CDN$250 or so, unless the client cannot provide all the required hardware, in which case we'll bill for that as well. Does that help? -----Original Message----- From: Terry Horton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: March 9, 2000 11:05 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: STN boxes Shaun, I want to second the RocketPort suggestion. And, I'm wondering what I might charge for an STN box. I've had one for about a year and some people have asked me to make one for them. However, if I charge the same rate that I do for programming, I would have to charge about $500 by the time it's done (ie. installed), excluding the cost of the hardware (which is, in fact, essentially free). Do you think that's possible? More?
