Hello all,
With Linux it's possible to do an "ifconfig eth0 hw ether deadbeef0001" to
change the MAC-address
of my NIC's (ne and ewrk3). I need this to cable-contact my ISP, they check
for
the NIC provided by them. But how do I accomplish this in STN? I have tried
it through the Manual Startup Commands, but it seems that the "change" of
the MAC-address is too late and the STN-box (dhcpcd) is already trying to
get hold of
the ISP, with the wrong MAC-address.
Dialling in to my ISP through the STN-box works great though (both NIC's
will do the job) and I like it quite a lot, so it would be great to use it
with cable.
Regards,
Jan.
