Just an idea on the network you refered to.
The network design graphics is at
http://members.home.com/nickfong/dual-head.gif
Multi-home your NT-server with 2 network cards,
one connects to the outside world, the other
connects to the inside with a non-routable IP
(192.168.10.100)
Disable IP forwarding using NT-control panel.
Uncheck the binding of the MS-IP-protocol to
Microsoft Networking service (on the NT-box)
to avoid netbios over TCP/IP attacks on your
internal network through the NT box.
I am not sure how your Apache server talks
to your NT-server, hopefully it is not netbios
over TCP/IP. If need be, install NETBEUI for
the internal networks to communicate.
Open port 80 on SharetheNet to allow http
traffic (and SMTP, POP, etc.) to talk to your
server #1 inside the firewall.
Server #1 and #2 are on the same subnet,
192.168.10.0 (255.255.255.0) hence they can see each other,
and your other internal hosts.
Worth a try.
