Lyle,   Thanks for the fast response! My cablemodem is a com21 with an ethernet output, so I set up the STN box for use with two network cards, they both work (ican see lights flashing etc.) I used the STN program to create the disk for cablemodem access. In fact everything is looking better after I changed the network card from a 3Com 509 card to a NE2000 Clone with jumper configuration. With the 3com card I got a lot more messages like "Service unavailable, now im getting only one message from SIOCADDRT. As I understand it from your comments it shouldnt load at all when using a cablemodem access? What could be wrong? What should I check in STN?
