to get STN to log on to the NT domain you might try to enter
DOMAIN_NAME\USER_NAME in the isp modem user name field. where DOMAIN_NAME is
the name of the remote NT domain that STN is dialing in to. I have not tried
this with STN, but that is the standard convention.

as for your workstation, you have to configure it to log into the domain. on
a windows box it would be in the network neighborhood properties

Subject: [ShareTheNet] Using STN with non-ISP

I would like to use STN to dial into my work network from home. It is not an
ISP. I figure that shouldn't matter; that I can just type in the phone
number, user name, password. Well, maybe it would work, but it is an NT box
answering, and there is no setting on the ISP Modem tab for domain, so the
call never completes, and I never get the box to key in my domain at the
workstation. Anyone have any idea how to do this?

Thanks,
Carl
