I want my ShareTheNet machine boot from a hard drive and not a floppy drive.
I did the next steps (suggested from de "FAQ")
1. A:\>FORMAT C:
2. Copy all of the files from the ShareTheNet diskette to the root
directory of the C: drive.
3. Create a c:\modules directory on the hard drive and copy the
a:\modules files to it.
4. A:\>LOCK C:
5. a:\syslinux.com c:
But after a while I get the message:
......................................
VFS: Mounted root (minex filesystem)
end_request I/O error, dev 02:00 sector 0
I think the root on C:\ is "not mounted"
the system still looks for the "ENVI" file etc. in de A: drive.
when I put my diskette in the A: drive STN reed the rest of the files and
startup.
Has someone a suggestion ?
