I use version 2.13 of STN with basic configs. Use the new Option of Ident
Server during the building of the disk. The new version supports Ident on
STN, so check your settings on mIRC

Connect configs on mIRC:

Firewall is not checked under the connect options
Enable Ident Server is checked and Show Requests is checked
Local Info - leave blank, lookup Method is Server

I can receive, I can not send, as I don't set up as a server :)

Subject: [ShareTheNet] IRC through STN?

Any tricks to getting IRC to work through STN? I'm using mIRC and
trying
to connect to an Efnet server (any Efnet server). Connections fail
complaining about not being able to connect to identd server. Checking
the mIRC options I find something about identd with a port of 113. So I
added this to STN User Specified Inbound Services with the IP address as
my external IP (not sure if that's right).

Any ideas?

thanks,
larry
