Are you leaving blank the fields on the DHCP tab such as: Starting
address, Ending address, default lease hours, maximum lease hours?
This information is for the DHCP server in STN to assign IP addresses
to your computers on your network behind the STN box. Most likely,
STN is waiting for DHCP to assign IP addresses to your network, and
simply has nothing to use. Enter some usable information for your
network, then see how it works. E. g., starting address
192.168.0.100, ending address 192.168.0.250.
Given that you can otherwise connect through your cable modem without
using the STN box, STN will be assigned an IP address when it
connects to the cable modem service's DHCP server. You should not
have to be concerned about that.
