The strange thing is, that I can run anything else on the machine

as win 3.11

without any problems

I have tried the disc in 3 other machines and no problems at all

To be honest I'm quite confused

I'm sure, it has nothing to do with netcard trouble, since theese errors use
to show much later in the boot procedure ?

rebuild the STN disk after switching machines, do that first, also try a
brand new disk, and if that doesn't help, try swapping the floppy drive from
the K6 over to the 486. I think that will fix your problem.

ps/1 machines had the MCA archatecture too, but maybe I'm mistaken. One
other thing that just came to mind, possibly your RAM is bad or unseated,
try to reseat it if the above fails.
