Its possible that something strange is going on, but I was also a pre-Topica list member and only get one copy of each e-mail, so it isn't happening to everyone. One possible explanation is that there are two versions of your e-mail address registered. For example I have to use my older simpler address [EMAIL PROTECTED] when posting to the list, because my new "official" e-mail address [EMAIL PROTECTED] is not a member. I've been meaning to unsubscribe the old version and resubscribe with my new "official" one but haven't bothered yet (Topica isn't the only list I have to fix in this regard and I mostly lurk). If you do have two variants of your e-mail address registered then you'll be able to tell by comparing the headers of the duplicate messages. You can then simply temporarily change your outgoing e-mail address in your mailer to match the one you want to eliminate (or set up an extra account if your software supports this like mine does) and then send the unsubscribe message to Topica. [BTW: I promise to take further off list topic discussion to direct e-mail as my original intent was to reduce the number of these messages ... sigh]. ----- Original Message ----- From: "J- boers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, October 17, 2000 11:57 AM Subject: Re: [ShareTheNet] Instructions on how to unsubscribe to the Share-The-Net m > What about those who wish to unsubscribe that were on the list BEFORE > topica?
