To Dave: thanks for backing Jeff up by repeating his one-line message
VERBATIM and posting it to the list (without even the courtesy of
trimming headers - always a nice newbie touch). I'm sure everyone on the
list was very enlightened by this lovely repetition of Jeff's
sentiments, and simply thrilled to know you agreed with him.
To both of you: Suggest you turn in your thread cop badges and Get a
Life (tm).
FloppyFW has been mentioned as an alternative several times here on the
STN group, along with its support of IPSEC (something STN is sorely
lacking at present). It's not farfetched that people here will have some
experience with it; in fact, two folks have already emailed me back this
morning with good suggestions (thank you both). This was somewhat more
constructive than spending time publicly dissing a post that clearly
mentions STN (go back and read it). If it didn't apply to you, or you
didn't know the answer, you could have just ignored it instead of
wasting everyone's time. If you felt it was off-topic, well, gee, you've
now created two more off-topic messages. Good work.
Last I will post on the subject. If anyone wants to know how it works
out with floppyfw and/or other alternatives, feel free to email me and
I'll send you a synopsis when and if I get everything up and running.
